And finally i managed to complete the GRN, a great race but also one of the most challenging i have ever done, it was an 800 mile round trip, but well worth it. I ran in a time of 3hrs 18 mins, slower than i had hoped but still respectable at 20 stone.
There were 54 000 registered runners at the event, and took nearly 45 minutes to cross the starting line from where i started. Newcastle was a very warm and welcoming place, great to visit, and the race was even better to do!!!!
